1. Introduction

Welcome to planeed (operated by Sabri & Liebl GbR, Munich). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your information when you use our app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Your user category

You may use the Service as a private user or as a company/organisational user. If you are a minor (under 18), additional rules apply — in Germany/EU minors under 16 (or as local law) need parental consent.

3. What information we collect

3.1 Information you give us

  • Profile information: name (or username), email address, optional profile photo, organisation/company name (if applicable).

  • Content you post: text, images, videos, comments.

  • Interaction data: how you use the Service, what content you engage with, who you connect with.

3.2 Technical & automatic information

  • Device information: device type, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, browser/app version, date/time stamps.

  • Usage logs: which pages/features you use, session time, clicks/interactions.

  • Cookies and similar technologies (for functionality, analytics, adverts).

3.3 Location & GPS data (optional)

Only if you opt in: we may access your device’s location (via GPS, Wi-Fi or cellular network) to display your current location in the app, to show nearby “Moments”, “Spaces” or company “Locations,” and to help you discover local content and users. If you do not consent or later revoke consent, these features will be disabled or limited. All location data is processed in line with this policy.

4. Why we collect & how we use your data

  • To provide the core Service: e.g., manage your account, display content, enable Action Points, calculate and show your Impact Score.

  • To personalise your experience: recommending content, users, organisations, or companies based on your profile and usage.

  • For analytics and improvement: we analyse anonymised or aggregated data to improve the App, detect abuse, maintain security.

  • For marketing & advertising: we may display adverts, offer premium features. We do not sell your personal data. planeed users may receive aggregated (non-identified) performance data.

  • For optional location-based features (only if you consent): to map your location, show nearby items, enable local discovery.

  • To comply with legal obligations, protect rights, detect fraud or misuse.

5. Legal basis for processing

If you are in the EU, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent (for optional features such as location/GPS, personalised advertising).

  • Performance of the contract (to provide the Service you signed up for).

  • Legitimate interests (for e.g., service improvement, security, analytics), except where your rights override those interests.

6. Sharing & disclosure of your information

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, email, payments) who process data under our instructions and confidentiality agreements.

  • Advertisers and marketing partners (only aggregated/non-identified data).

  • Other users (only information you make public: e.g., your username, profile photo, posts you publish).

  • Legal authorities or third-parties if required by law or to protect our rights.
    We do not sell your personal data to third-parties for their own use.

If we transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) or rely on an adequacy decision.

7. Location data specifics

  • Consent: your location is used only if you grant explicit permission.

  • Purpose: enabling location-based features (map, nearby Moments/Spaces/company locations).

  • Revocation: you can withdraw your consent anytime in device/app settings. After withdrawal, location-based features will not work (or will be limited).

  • Retention: We will retain location data only as long as necessary for the purposes described. If you disable location or delete your account, we will stop storing fine-grained location data and anonymise or delete it according to our retention policy.

  • Sharing: your precise location will not be shared with other users without additional explicit consent. If coarse / aggregated location data is shared (e.g., counts of users in an area), it is non-identifying.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location you have the following rights:

  • Access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.

  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): you can ask us to delete your personal data (subject to legal obligations/legitimate interests).

  • Restriction of processing: you can ask us to limit how we process your data.

  • Data portability: you can request a machine-readable copy of your data to transfer to another service.

  • Object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests (including profiling or targeted advertising).

  • Withdraw consent: you may withdraw consent at any time — but this will not affect processing before withdrawal.

  • If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Retention of data

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described (e.g., providing the Service, fulfilling legal obligations, resolving disputes). After that we either delete or anonymise it.

10. Children’s privacy

Our Service is not directed at children under 12. If you are under 12 you must have parental/guardian consent. If we learn we have processed personal data of a child under the relevant age without such consent, we will delete it.

11. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption, access controls, monitoring) to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you (via app or email) and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes means your acceptance of the updated policy.
